With the wind playing a leading role, Wednesday night's game was very much one of two halves. Netley had the advantage in the first period, and took the lead through Paul Myburgh after 20 minutes.
Just before the break Fair Oak's Lee Allen managed to clear the crossbar with a shot from four feet!
In the second half Fair Oak were in the ascendancy, but the best they could do was a Simon Reynolds shot that hit the post and another from Micky Newell that was well saved by the keeper.
