TWO of Britain's finest and most respected actors, Isla Blair and Julian Glover, are accompanied by Stefan Bednarczyk at the piano to perform their show The Language of Love at the Salisbury Playhouse on February 20.

The show, a lyrical celebration of love, plays for one night only at the theatre following a successful performance at London's National Portrait Gallery last week.

The evening is a feast of words, poetry and music all around the theme of love.

With extracts from some of the greatest writers and musicians including Shakespeare, Larkin, Coward, Hardy, Sondheim, Bernstein and Porter, plus a host of others, and performed by two theatre greats, this is certain to put anyone in the mood for romance.

Isla Blair was last seen at the playhouse as Helen Lancaster in Waters of the Moon in 2004. Isla and husband Julian Glover are known as two of the UK's leading actors, both having appeared in numerous productions at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre and in the West End, as well as a raft of television programmes and films.

The three performers have donated their time for this one-off charity event, which aims to help the playhouse raise funds for a new education/community space and rehearsal room on the land outside the current restaurant area. All funds raised will go towards the appeal.

Tickets are £18, includes a glass of wine. Box Office: 01722 320333.
