WHEN it comes to longevity in popular music, most bands pale into insignificance compared to The Drifters, who return to Fareham this February after their sell-out gig at the Ferneham Hall in 2003.
The Drifters, pictured, were formed in 1953 and have covered more than five decades of popular music with sales in excess of 50 million records world-wide.
Each of their two-hour shows is packed with classic hits like Saturday Night at the Movies, Save the Last Dance for Me, Under the Boardwalk, and Kissing in the Back Row of the Movies.
Prepare to be taken on a journey through the days of Doo Wop in the 50s, through to the sweet soul music of the 60s, the superstar highs of the 70s, right up to the sparkling new millennium!
The band will be at the Ferneham Hall on February 25. Tickets £15.50. Box office: 01329 231942.
