Boogie Nights 2, The Mayflower, Southampton
DESPITE its cringe-inducing tackiness, there is something about the 80s that is as annoyingly addictive as a Rubik's cube.
Everyone has their favourite moment. Mine? Bullseye.
The classic TV quiz show hosted by Jim Bowen, was as firm a fixture on a Sunday afternoon in the Davies household, as my gran's roast dinners.
The only chance you'll get to watch Bullseye now is on satellite TV, but if you don't fancy stumping up the subscription fee, there is another cheeky slice of retro 80s fun you can dig your shell suit out for - Boogie Nights 2.
Starring ladies' favourite David Essex, former EastEnder Sophie Lawrence and 5ive chart-topper Scott Robinson, Boogie Nights 2 is the kind of harmless, fun-packed show you'll find impossible not to sing along too.
OK, so some of the acting is a
little wooden at times and you'll struggle to escape the feeling you're at a Butlins theme park show, but as far as laughs go, Boogie Nights 2 hits the right note every time.
Set in the decade of endless parties shadowed by a murky underbelly of greed, Boogie Nights 2 follows on from the
original story set around night club owner Roddy O'Neil, played by Mark Jones.
Roddy is left to reflect on his life after being left in a coma following a fall. Can he learn from his mistakes in time to have another chance of life?
Set to the classic music of the 80s, played by a live band, Boogie Nights 2 is irresistibly good fun.
Boogie Nights 2 is at The Mayflower until Saturday.
