A CHANCE to see Winchester Cathedral as it was in medieval times has been taken up by scores of people as part of the ancient building's annual open days.
The 800-year-old cathedral's 556ft nave - the longest in Europe - has been stripped of chairs and modern lighting to give people an insight into what it was like to worship there in the past.
