SNOW Patrol and Embrace are the latest bands confirmed to play at this year's Nokia Isle of White Festival in June.
The two British rock groups join Sunday night's headline act, R.E.M., who were the first band to be confirmed at this summer's event.
Snow Patrol enjoyed huge success last year, with their chart-topping album Final Straw, selling over one million copies.
The Scots are supporting stadium giants U2 on some of the European legs of their world tour and are currently writing songs for their fourth
studio album, which is due out later this year.
Embrace are being touted as the next big British band to break America. The Leeds quintet first shot to stardom in 1997 with their debut album The Good Will Out.
After regularly denting the charts over the next few years with rock ballads like All You Good Good People, the band drifted out of the limelight, only to return last year, thanks to the help of Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who wrote their comeback top ten song Gravity.
Since then the band has notched up another top ten hit, the beautiful Ashes, and sold out all 11 dates of their forthcoming UK tour, which includes a gig at Portsmouth's Wedgewood Rooms on March 3. Their album, Out of Nothing, has also gone platinum.
The Isle of White Festival runs from June 10 to 12 at Seaclose Park, Newport. Tickets for the full weekend, with camping, cost £90. Call 08705 321 321.
