REUNION: Do you remember the old double-decker bus that served teas for a number of years outside the then Budgen store?

This was run by the Lighthouse Trust, and it is holding its "Get-together Tea and Cake Reunion" and AGM on Sunday, February 27, starting at 3pm, at the Main Road Methodist Church, and all are welcome.

POPPY Appeal: The local branch of The Royal British Legion has now got the final total from the Poppy Appeal which includes all the house-to-house, the collection at Sainsbury's, boxes at shops and businesses, selling of wreaths and a sponsored swim.

The wonderful amount of £11,356 was raised.

The Royal British Legion thanks everyone who helped in any way or gave.

WI MARKET: Is open from 8am to 10.15am on a Wednesday, at the community centre, Newchurch Road.

It offers lots to buy, including plants, home made produce, jams, marmalade, pies, cakes, fresh vegetables and knitware.

You can also sit down and meet friends old and new over a cup of tea or coffee and toast.

Go along to support them and enjoy the atmosphere.

LIBRARY: Reopens next Wednesday, at 9.30am.

Hopefully all of the work will have been done, but you can always contact them and find out by calling 0118 9814595.
