AS part of the Andover Advertiser's Make a Difference campaign, the southern branch of the children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent - based in Andover - is asking residents to help brighten up its offices in the High Street.
The CLIC Sargent charity gives support and advice to children affected by cancer or leukaemia and their families.
CLIC Sargent in the south provides CLIC Haven, a free, self-catering, home- from-home accommodation close to Southampton General Hospital for parents with children in the hospital.
CLIC Sargent play specialists, through distraction, help children in coping with treatment and medication.
CLIC Sargent also offers care grants that provide a lifeline to families in financial need after their child's diagnosis.
June Leatheam, fundraising manager for southern England, has suggested reduced car parking charges for charity staff so that money saved can go straight back into funds.
June would also welcome volunteers to assist at the Andover office, carrying out tasks such as answering the phone. Anyone who is willing to help can call June on 01264 321883 or pop into the office at 27a High Street, Andover.
