THE City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sakari Oramo, will perform at The Anvil on Wednesday 9 February.
The evening begins with Haydn's Symphony No 2, and continues with Tchaikovsky's elegant and graceful set of variations, written as relaxation after the emotional outburst of the symphonic poem Francesca da Rimini, and Sibelius' Fifth Symphony.

ALL the charm and romance of 19th century Vienna comes to the Southampton Guildhall on Thursday courtesy of the Johann Strauss Gala.
First created in 1975 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss, the Johann Strauss Gala has been captivating audiences across the UK ever since.
In addition to a scintillating programme, including the Blue Danube Waltz, the Radetzky March and The Laughing Song from Die Fledermaus, audiences will be captivated by the Johann Strauss Dancers, who perform in lavish period costumes specifically designed for the show.
