TEST Valley Rock School got 2005 off to a flying start with the first adult event on Saturday.
Although a flu virus reduced the numbers to 36 on the day there were enough to form seven bands to rehearse through the day and perform at a concert in the evening.
The rock school was again held at Harrow Way Community School, with a group of highly talented and experienced musicians acting as tutors, and included musicians from Nottingham, York and Ascot.
The event provides an opportunity for musicians of all abilities to work together, rehearse and play before an audience. The next adult event will be 24 September, with Youth Rock Schools on 23 April and 12 November.
