FED-UP drivers will know who to complain to when they are stuck in a tailback, thanks to a new range of signs being produced by Hampshire highways bosses.
The new signs give a contact number and website address so that drivers can find out how long roadworks are going to take or make complaints about the work.
Highways bosses hope that keeping the public better informed will ease frustration caused by delays.
County council executive member for the environment, Councillor Keith Estlin, said: "This is all part of making it easier for the public to contact our highways staff and to help us be more responsive, as well as showing them where their money is being spent on programmed schemes to keep Hampshire's roads in good condition and make them safer."
Anyone wishing to contact highways about road maintenance schemes should call 0845 850 4422 or check the website www.hants.gov.uk/highways
