SET in New England in the late 19th century, Julie, a respectable mill girl, falls for Billy the carousel barker. Not put off by the warnings of her employer, she marries Billy and tragedy follows when he kills himself after a bungled robbery.
This show is packed full of memorable musical numbers including June is Busting Out All Over and You'll Never Walk Alone.
This production had promise but unfortunately lacked polish. The dancing throughout was a pleasure to watch, especially the Snow Children's number, but the company was not helped by a number of technical problems.
The highlights of this production were the beautifully expressive performance by Victoria Burch (Louise) and the moving company finale.
Ends Saturday.
