FRIENDS of a Waterside teenager killed in a road accident are planning to stage a bungee jump in his memory.
Ryan Liddon, 15, of Larkspur Gardens, Holbury, was walking home five months ago when a car came off the road and overturned.
Fellow teenagers are planning to get together in April to mark what would have been his 16th birthday.
They hope their bungee jump will raise enough money to buy a special bench that will serve as a permanent memorial to the schoolboy.
Ryan was walking along Fawley Road, Hythe, on September 13 last year when the accident happened.
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he died on September 23 after doctors switched off his life support machine.
His parents, Tony and Angela Liddon, visit his grave at Blackfield Cemetery every day and light four candles in his memory.
Mrs Liddon said: "Ryan's death has ruined our lives.
"It's really, really hard and is not getting any easier. We are not coping, we are just existing and doing everything on automatic."
Ryan was a prefect at Hardley School in Long Lane, Holbury.
Many of the pupils attended his funeral and some were in tears as his coffin was carried out of the church after the service.
As reported in later editions of yesterday's Daily Echo, two men have been charged in connection with Ryan's death.
