Southampton 15 Andover II 29
Andover II received a reality check last weekend, as they struggled away against a determined and well-drilled Southampton side.
The visitors never really managed to get out of second gear and although they dominated in the tight they never made this domination tell.
The game started with Andover showing slight superiority in the pack, both through the scrummage and the lineout with the front three of Mo Worle, Ben Reilly and Terry Oatley starting very well. Southampton defended well in the backs, closing down the midfield in particular very quickly and this meant Andover couldn't really make their domination tell.
