Chameleon Theatre Company, Ritchie Memorial Hall, Chandler's Ford
THE action of this panto, co-written by five Chameleon members, takes place in Karubi and then, in celebration of the company's 40th year, transports us to London in 1964, for most of the action.
The plot revolves around the recovery of the ruby of Karubi, currently held in the depths of Rupert Ruffdiamond's dilapidated stately home.
A colourful opening by the chorus signalled the entertainment we could expect. Solo lines by Sam Vokes, as Tikka, gave an inkling of her lovely singing voice.
Young spiders guarding the ruby coped really well with all their legs while dancing, and the villainess and stooges worked well. Brilliant costumes and tremendous teamwork added to the fun.
