SAINTS sponsor Friends Provident has unveiled an impressive performance of its own, with new life and pensions sales hitting a record of £434m for 2004.
The Salisbury based insurer, which has also paid for naming rights to Saints stadium, is bullish about its future prospects.
The performance came during a year in which Friends closed its direct sales force and reorganised its network of appointed representatives.
Life and Pensions managing director Ben Gunn said the changes meant he was confident the company would now "punch above our weight", adding that Friends expected to see the "benefits flowing through to an increased market share in 2005 and 2006".
