PARISH council: The first parish council meeting of 2005 will be in the Village Club at 7.30pm on Monday.
Items on the agenda include improvements to the burial ground, the proposal to redevelop the Hook and a number of other issues.
The people who answered the Village Plan questionnaire criticising the parish council should consider making their objections public in the recess at 8.30pm, when all attending are invited to comment.
BINGO: The Busy Bees are having a bingo night at the Scout Hut in Strokins Road on Saturday, February 5.
The evening will include a fish and chip supper for which tickets have to be booked in advance. Call 297603 to book.
DELPHINIUMS: The next gardening club meeting will be in the Village Club at 7.45pm on Thursday, February 10.
Mark Lyman will be talking about growing and showing delphiniums.
As usual, all are welcome, but the club would like to encourage more members.

KEEP-FIT: There are places on the keep-fit course at the Village Club on Mondays at 9.30am.
This is a class for all and you don't have to be super supple or wear exotic gear.
