HATCH Warren WI: The Hatch Warren branch of the WI holds its February meeting next Thursday, at the community centre.

The speaker will be a guest from Driving Management Ltd, who will be talking about "Security Driving for Women Drivers", a vital topic, especially during the dark nights.

The WI in Hatch Warren is going from strength to strength and is currently celebrating the arrival of a number of new members.

If you would like to try it out for yourself, the meeting starts at 8pm in the lounge of the community centre.

New faces are always very welcome.

POLICE surgeries: The local beat officers will be holding their surgeries at Sainsbury's cafe from now on.

There will be a surgery on the last Tuesday of every month, from 9.30am until 11.30am.

If you have a problem or concern that you would like to discuss, or something that you feel you should report, they will be very happy to see you.

STONE throwing: There have been several reports of stones being thrown at cars travelling along the A30 as they pass the Quilter Road area subways.

If you have suffered an attack, please pass on the details to the police.
