THEY are from Scotland, but that's about the only link Biffy Clyro have with Franz Ferdinand.
The Scottish punk rock trio bring their armoury of gigantic guitar riffs to Southampton University on February 26 as part of a UK tour in support of their new album Infinity.
Formed in the mid-90s by frontman and guitarist, Simon Neil and drummer, Ben Johnston, Biffy Clyro set about their crusade for world domination living off a diet of Guns 'N' Roses and Nirvana. In 2002 they released their acclaimed debut album Blackened Sky, while 2003's follow-up, The Vertigo of Bliss, was recorded in just one day.
New album Infinity is ladled with just as many guitar hooks making them a safe bet for some well-deserved success this year.
