STEPHEN Sondheim's Follies performed by the Thornden Operatic and Musical Society was a glamorous and glitzy production.
Reunions always bring back memories, some good and some not so good.
Follies is set in the Weisman Theatre, New York and we see ex-showgirls tapping and singing their way down memory lane.
The story revolves around two couples who met and married during the heyday of the Follies.
However, they are soon surrounded by ghosts of their former selves as they realise they are not happy with the choices they made.
Director and MD, Hannalie Bekker handled the complicated music beautifully getting the very best out of this young company. Sondheim gave the show fantastic musical numbers and the best go to the girls.
Jessica Pearce (Phyllis Rogers Stone) gave a superb and powerful performance as did Kim Moorhouse (Sally Durant Plummer).
The costumes and make-up were stunning.
