BUDDING mini Monets and pint-sized Picassos from across the New Forest will have their work displayed in the homes of hundreds of residents.

Schoolchildren entered a competition to help design a calendar promoting the benefits of energy efficiency.

Judges at New Forest District Council selected 12 winning drawings and the calendar is now available to buy for £1 at NFDC information offices.

It is packed with top tips on saving money and being kinder to the environment.

NFDC portfolio holder for the environment, Cllr Michael Thierry, said: "The young people have made a good job of sending out clear messages about the need for energy efficiency in the home."
