SCOTTISH Gaelic rockers Runrig play the Guildhall in Southampton on February 8 as part of a massive UK tour.
The Celtic legends are celebrating over 30 years in the industry having become one of the most synonymous folk-rock bands around.
Runrig formed in 1973 led by Callum McDonald, who still fronts the six-piece band today.
While watching most bands slip to the wayside, Runrig have remained at the forefront of Scottish music since releasing their first album, Play Gaelic, in 1978. They have gone onto release 17 more albums, each well received by their army of loyal fans.
Amazingly the band has never had a major record deal. Instead they have built their own success from consistently recording beautiful, melancholic Gaelic-charm laced albums that have profited so well that the band has been able to go back into the studio and record again.
Tickets £20. Box office: 023 8063 2601.
