THE Red Cross Centre in Andover has been attacked yet again - just a few weeks after volunteers raised £3,257 for the tsunami appeal.
It's the latest in a series of attacks by thieves and vandals which stretches back to last autumn.
In the latest incident it's thought the intruders got hold of a key to get into St Ann's Hall in Suffolk Road.
But they then smashed through a recently replaced fire door leading into the Red Cross office.
Centre organiser Isabel Colebrook said the door itself stood up to the onslaught but the door jamb was shattered in the violence of the attack.
New security measures meant the intruder could not get into a cupboard - nor was the safe broken into.
However the burglars managed to smash through another door into a storeroom where the centre keeps walking frames, wheelchairs and commodes - but on this occasion nothing was stolen. Mrs Colebrook stressed that none of the tsunami appeal money would be spent on repairs.
The centre even has a notice on the window saying it no longer keeps money or valuables on the premises overnight. But a despairing Mrs Colebrook, said the centre was attacked practically every other weekend.
She said: "Someone has got it in for us for some reason - it's madness really."
