With Trojans and Sandown & Shanklin fighting for the automatic promotion berth, attention switches to the relegation tussle involving - everyone else!
Last weekend's results left the other eight teams in Hampshire One in the danger zone.
Just two points separate Fareham Heathens, in third place, from United Services in eighth.
Second-to-bottom Nomads are four points shy of the safety zone - but they have a chance to close the gap when they host New Milton & District.
The New Forest team will be looking to produce a similar performance to the one that almost shocked Trojans last week.
They recall Justin Bloomfield to fly-half with Tom Humphreys away so Watcyn Lewis reverts back to scrum-half. Andy O'Callaghan continues in the back row but Jamie Ramsey, who missed last week's game, is on the replacements bench.
US Portsmouth need to overturn fifth-placed Millbrook to stay out of their local rival's reach and include former Havant and Fareham Heathens fly-half James Martin-Redman for his debut.
The hosts hope to have the influential Dominic Sales back in the squad, although he will start with the replacements, and the injury crisis is easing despite Wayne Renwick's hamstring forcing Alan Day to play at fly-half.
Adam Cripps is back and Mike Goodridge confident of returning to the wing to partner Pravin Seneviratne. Prop Shannon Passingham's back is fit enough for him to sit with Sales.
Two teams who believe they are safe are Fareham Heathens and Isle of Wight, currently third and fourth respectively, but the losers will have to keep a cautious eye on events below them.
Trojans could send Farnborough deep into the mire while keeping themselves ahead of challengers Sandown & Shanklin when the pair clash at Stoneham Lane.
Pete Surtees's men are at virtual full strength, with the exception of hooker Joe Newsome who is on police duty at St Mary's. Ian Smith comes in while Tim Higham stands by in case Ben Boyes is forced to withdraw.
The coach has questioned his team's ability in recent weeks and has been hammering it home to them.
"We have targeted the next three games as crucial for us. But we need to raise our game and turn in a really good performance that has been lacking of late," said Surtees.
Sandown & Shanklin face a double-header with Alresford, combining their league contest with their quarter-final Hampshire Gales' Vase and the Islanders are finally back to full strength after "a nightmare fortnight."
But, with players back from holiday, wedding duties and work commitments, the Hurricanes look to maintain the pressure on Trojans and are looking to overpower the winless mid-Hampshire side to close the points-difference gap on the leaders.
"Alresford are a big set of boys though," said Priddle, "so we do need to be on our game and not take them lightly."
