The opening shots in the 2005 National Super Squash League will be fired at Bereweeke Road next Monday (Jan. 31st) when 19 of the World's top 30 players will be competing in what is likely to be the most competitive year ever.
Local interest will rest with Linden Homes Winchester, who are entering their fourth season.
"Every year we add to the strength of the team but then all the other teams do the same - the quality of the matches is simply brilliant," says Winchester team manager Deryck Bull. "Our first home match is against newcomers to the league, Heaton, and if we can get off to a winning start maybe we can challenge last year's champions Exeter."
