Whitchurch are now starting to find their feet again as they gave New Street a taste of Howard Goddard's re-organisational skills.
New Street started the stronger, and could have been two up in the first ten minutes, but Casson Spencer squandered their best chance.
James Scrivens and Ricky Attridge began to use the wings to Whitchurch's advantage and they nearly took the lead when Chris Wye's long range effort came down off the bar.
