MELANCHOLIC rockers Idlewild have announced a date at the Guildhall in Southampton as part of a 21-date UK tour in support of their new album Warnings/Promises, which is released on March 7.
Idlewild first caught the public's imagination in 1998 with their triumphant debut album Hope is Important.
Two years later they released the acclaimed 100 Broken Windows, while 2002's The Remote Part, which spawned the glorious two-and-a-half minute indie-punk anthem A Modern Way of Letting Go, made it the third chart-breaking album for the Scots.
Warnings/Promises is preceded by the release of the band's first single in nearly two years, Love Steals Us From Loneliness, which is out on February 21. They play the Guildhall on April 7.
