A commemoration of the Holocaust will be held at Southampton Institute tonight with an event called Experiences of Racism: Then and Now.
The evening will include speakers, quiet reflection and a screening of the acclaimed 1955 film Nuit et Broullard - a vivid depiction of the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps.
One of the main speakers will be Edgar Feuchtwanger, who came to Britain in the 1930s as a Jewish refugee from Germany.
Eleven million people died during the Nazi genocide and tomorrow marks the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auchwitz-Birkenau death camp.
The Southampton Holocaust Memorial event starts at 7pm in the Southampton Institute Sir James Matthews Building, Above Bar Street.
