Sir.-I write with reference to your article in last Friday's Gazette, regarding the latest school league tables.
As one of last year's John Hunt school leavers, I wanted to voice my opinion.
I was one of the "18.4 per cent" who did achieve five or more A* to C grades at GCSE.
However, I know for a fact that without the hard work and dedication of both staff and students, there were many candidates who would not have achieved at all.
Many of these managed to achieve D grades but this is not recognised in the league tables.
Having spent five years at the school, it is clear to me that John Hunt strives to live up to its motto - "success for all".
It's about time all achievements were recognised nationally, and not just those in the league tables.
