TSUNAMI appeal: The disco I wrote about last week, at the Rec Soc, raised an amazing £3,960 towards the tsunami appeal.
Liz Frost would like to thank everyone who gave so generously, helped or supported it in any way. Well done to all those who organised it.
Other events planned for the tsunami appeal include a jumble sale, tomorrow, at the Den.
Please take jumble along on the morning of the sale.
For more information, contact Bruce or Caroline on 0118 9819965.
Then on Saturday, February 5, the Baughurst Scouts and Guides are holding a sale at their Den, in Ash Lane, Baughurst, from 2pm to 4pm.
Donations are wanted, but not clothes.
Any DVDs, games, bric-a-brac, cakes and unwanted presents can be taken along on the morning of the sale.
Val-N-Tina line dancing club: At the Rec Soc on a Monday and Wednesday.
For further information, call Tina on 01256 881896, or Val on 0118 9815168.
If you have ever wanted to try it, but were not sure, now's your chance.
ADVICE bureau: Sir George Young is holding an advice bureau on February 12, for all to go along to meet him and seek help.
ALPHA supper: Is being held at Meadow Croft, Aldermaston Road, Pamber Green, on Monday, at 7.30pm.
If you would like to explore the meaning of life as contained in the Christian faith, in a relaxed atmosphere, call Julian or Valda Burt on 01256 850104.
They will be delighted to hear from you and provide you with details on how to get to their home.
