TSUNAMI victims relief: Alan, from the Four Horseshoes, tells me that the charity skittles evening on Wednesday was such a sell-out success, he's been asked to hold another one.
So, with a prize for the highest score and a raffle, admission is by ticket only. They can be bought in advance from 882296.
Tickets cost £10 and include a hot supper.
CAROL singing: The money raised from carol singing, on December 17, was in aid of a children's charity in India.
In thanking the village for the donation, Ann Hills said: "As one of the beneficiaries of the most enjoyable evening, we give thanks to everyone involved, and the money raised will be used for the betterment of life for the lovely children at the various projects that we are involved with.
"It was a great joy for us to spend time in India and a most spiritually uplifting time.
"Both James and I worked at projects while at Jeetgarh children's home.
"The children come from different backgrounds, such as their parents are lepers, or dead or very, very poor.
"This charity is making a real difference to the lives of some of the most undemanding and lovely children it was our pleasure to be with."
