WALK for Health: Join the Walk for Health scheme - the sure way to health and fitness.
It's free and easy and a chance to meet new people and make friends.
We would love a few more volunteers to help us to run the Popley Health Walk on Friday mornings.
If you have a few hours to spare on a monthly or weekly basis, contact Marilyn Davies on 01256 845630, or Jane Wilding on 01256 845574, for a chat and further details.
SALE: Melrose Community Hall is holding a mammoth sale of new and used items, including some collectors' items of videos, DVDs and CDs.
We are also looking for volunteers to come and help us on the day, Saturday, January 29.
The sale starts at 2pm, and people of all ages are welcome.
If you have things you wish to donate, then please bring them to the centre next Thursday morning or on the morning of the sale, and not before, as we have a storage problem.
For more information, contact 01256 411113 or 01256 420676.
QUIT smoking: A free and friendly local seven-week Quit Smoking Clinic is being held at Melrose Hall as from January 12, at 10am.
If this is the right time and place for you, then call 0845 6024663 for a place, or, if not, ask about other Basingstoke daytime or evening clinics.
CLEANER: Melrose Hall is still looking for a cleaner, so if you are interested, call 01256 420676.
If you wish to be included in this column, call my number above.
