WINNING footballers at a Hedge End school have been awarded a new sports kit worth more than £300.
The under-14 side of Wildern School won the new Umbro football kit after getting through to the fourth round of the Four Aces Cup - a national tournament organised by the English Schools' Football Association.
The competition pits more than 1,000 teams against each other across the country and the Wildern School players have beaten off teams in the regional heats to enter the national phase of the cup, starting with a match against Andover's Harrow Way Community School in the fifth round.
