ANOTHER working party: Will be at it next Thursday, meeting at 2pm in the church lobby.
Wellies and gloves are essential.
CAFE Bienvenue: Just imagine this - A Burns' Night Spectacular is being held on Friday, January 28, between 8.45am and 10.30am.
Hot chocolate and croissants are going to be available and there is likely to be an appearance of the "Churchendales".
I don't know if they are piping in the haggis, but surely there will be a wee dram freshly poured.
ABSENT without leave: I have done it before, I am doing it again.
For the next few weeks my friend George Kirk is going to be writing this village news column.
George is the man to contact with your news, and you can speak to him on 323868.
Don't call him on Burns' Night though. He is only a spit and throw from The Crown, where a Burns' Night is being held on Tuesday.
It is all happening there with a traditional evening and piping of the haggis.
TALKING about local pubs: It was great to hear that Charles Gannon, licensee of the Millstone pub, was one of the first in Britain to be awarded a Diploma in Licensed Hospitality.
Well done. Another achievement for our community.
