A CLASS of 25 boys and girls from St Jude's Primary School in Fareham got a taste of Victorian life during a visit to the Search Museum in Gosport.

Pupils spent the morning at the museum and volunteers got to dress as either the lady or master of the house.

The pupils, who are currently studying Victorian Britain were then taken on a tour of a mock period house.

Head teacher Christine McGrew said: "The children looked at a Victorian parlour and kitchen, where they were able to wear aprons or waistcoats. They also got to look at a range of Victorian artefacts."
