NO job is too big or too small for pupils at a Waterside school who are trying to raise enough cash to go on a life-changing adventure.
A group of 27 students at Hardley School and Sixth Form need to find £3,325 each before they can embark on a month-long expedition to southern Peru in July 2006.
The intrepid young travellers have been racking their brains to come up with money-making ideas.
A school disco and talent show are currently in the pipeline and a number of pupils helped with bag-packing at local supermarkets over Christmas.
Some have even resorted to doing people's ironing.
Student Lisle Gwinn, 15, said: "People are doing whatever they can to get some money. I have taken on two extra jobs and I have been writing to companies to explain what we are doing in the hope that they will sponsor us."
Pictured above with the pupils are teachers Naomi Biles, left, and Rebecca Wright, in the striped shirt.
Any companies wishing to sponsor the trip should contact Rebecca Wright on 023 8089 1192.
