FORMER Hampshire batsman Michael Clarke plundered his second limited-overs international century for Australia as they reached the final of the VB Series with a nine-wicket destruction of Pakistan in Sydney.
Clarke cracked an unbeaten 103 - equalling his international best score - as Australia raced past Pakistan's 163 all out total in a day/night contest yesterday.
The 22-year-old struck 14 boundaries and a six in his 107-ball innings.
The ton took Clarke's VB Series aggregate to 268 runs at an average of 89.33. The next highest runscorer in the series is Pakistan's Inzamam with 180 runs. In all, Clarke has now played 40 ODI for Australia and averages 44.81.
Australia will meet the winners of tomorrow's Pakistan v West Indies match in the best-of-three final starting later this week.
