What is Child Rescue Alert... The Child Rescue Alert scheme seeks the assistance of the public where a child has been abducted and it is believed that the child will be seriously harmed.
How does it work... When Hampshire Constabulary are aware that a child is missing and in danger they will, given certain criteria are met, issue an alert which can be seen here as well as on local radio and TV. The alert will be posted here on this page for four hours or until cancelled by the police.
How can I help... If you see our Child Rescue Alert logo flashing it will signify that an alert is in operation. The alert will provide information which the police hope will assist in locating the missing child as well as advice how to respond to any sightings.
Hampshire Constabulary hopes that the circumstances never arrise in which an alert has to be issued. But they have a responsibility to the children of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to take every step to ensure their safety and ask for your help in doing so.
