When Alan Cunningham returned as Solent Stars' head coach he had two main objectives in mind.
The first was to get Solent winning matches again on a regular basis and the second was to regain some of the fans who've drifted away in the last couple of unsuccessful seasons.
Now it may have taken him a bit longer than he was anticipating but Solent do, at last, appear to be on their way back after an inspired, defiant and collective second half performance carried Stars to a magnificent win over the current league champions.
And as for the second objective, well a video of this match would surely have them returning in numbers. Saturday's incident packed game had just about everything you could ask for as Solent turned around a 16-point deficit to win in a breathless finish.
"We'd prefer to win with a bit more to spare," admitted assistant coach Steve Chant, "but we're just delighted to have made two in a row and I'm sure it was great entertainment for the fans."
