IT is a four-cornered contest for the post of Hampshire Middleton Cup manager.
The candidates, Clive Lewis, Alan Lewis (no relation), Derek Collins and Rod Rosier, are due to be interviewed on Sunday with the successful man being announced during the county's executive meeting at Atherley next Wednesday (January 26).
Clive Lewis was the right-hand man to previous boss John Plomer while Pompey-based Alan Lewis applied when Plomer got the job.
Collins has been involved with the county set-up and selection for many years and is a member of the Hampshire indoor management team, as well as being an England indoor selector, while Kingsclere bowler Rosier was a Middleton Cup skip last summer.
Former Hampshire president Cedric Edwards has died. He wore the county chain office in 1978 as a Pirrie Park member.
