If Trojans win the Hampshire/Surrey Regional League championship, they will surely reserve a table at their celebratory dinner for local rivals Hamble.
Their near neighbours seem to be doing everything possible to smooth Trojans' passage towards the title.
In the past fortnight, Hamble have nailed both Woking (4-2) and Epsom (3-2), two of the main challengers.
Those results have also given Hamble a realistic chance of finishing at least runners-up, assuming Trojans continue to monopolise the championship race.
They made it 11 wins from 12 games by beating Reigate Priory 9-0 - before a non-appearing umpire put paid to their prospects of a double against winless Old Cranleighians.
"We travelled all the way into Surrey - and had to come back again, having barely broken sweat in a training session," moaned Trojans captain Campbell Williams.
But Trojans were more than content to offer touchline support for Hamble, who flattened Epsom with an impressive first-half show.
Dave Kelly was instrumental in setting up the opening two goals for hot shot Steve Barber, above, who opened the scoring from a penalty corner before making it 2-0 from a looping reverse-stick shot.
Egyptian international Hamoza made it 3-0 before half-time.
But Epsom, now only one point ahead of Hamble, refused to lie down and twice clawed back goals from Matt Heal to set up a tense finale.
Hamble trail Trojans by five points but, with the Stoneham side having a game in hand, runners-up is probably the best they can hope for.
Paul Hilton notched a hat-trick in Trojans' 9-0 demolition of Reigate Priory - Wayne Shepherd and Dave Cheeseman scoring two each and Rob Wiles also netting.
By taking 11 points from the last five games, Winchester appear to have freed themselves from the anxiety of a potential relegation battle in the Hampshire/Surrey Regional League.
But they made hard work of the three points they took from a 3-2 win over London Edwardians, who are struggling in the danger zone. Winchester had to turn around a 2-1 deficit but two goals in the last seven minutes clinched their second win of the new year.
A scintilating goal by Chris Ralph - either side of two Edwardians strikes - put Winchester level early in the second half, but city old boy Nick Tout looked to have buried his former teammates by restoring the Londoners' lead.
With time running out, Mark Dobbie and Rob Craddock set up a second equaliser for Ben Hibberd, and three minutes later Craddock notched the winner in a goalmouth melee.
Winchester's result certainly helped Southampton, but the Sports Centre strugglers went down 2-0 to Woking.
