Lions 3 Portland United 0
FORTUNATE to still be in the game at half-time, Andover came good in the second half, scoring three times and maintaining their unbeaten start to the year.
Having arrived at the ground just 20 minutes before kick-off, Portland adopted an 'if it moves kick it' policy and it almost worked.
Several Lions wanted retribution but wise heads prevailed and their reward was the acquisition of all three points.
Justin Bennett, nursing a niggling foot injury, was fortuitously left out as a precaution and Callum Earl limped off just before the half hour mark, while Mark Keogh, Brendan Summers and Vince Rusher managed to survive some rough treatment.
