YOUNGSTERS from the Chandler's Ford RSPB Wildlife Explorers had their most memorable field trip to date when a visit to Keyhaven Marsh threw up plenty of surprises.
After arriving, the group was soon enjoying a close-up view of a bar-tailed godwit on the shoreline, while at sea a razorbill and guillemot were seen before a red-throated diver surprised everyone.
Towards the end of the day, when more than 70 species were spotted, a bearded tit and a rare Dartford warbler were also seen, while a first-year Mediterranean gull was spotted sitting on a boat.
