FASHION retailer New Look has instructed the Southampton office of property consultants King Sturge to dispose of its warehouse facility in Weymouth, Dorset.

New Look is maintaining its head office presence in the Dorset town but will be relocating is distribution facility to Newcastle-under-Lyme in September.

The unit is available for sale or to let in parts or as a whole, and is located on the Mount Pleasant Business Park, just off the Dorchester Road, which gives access to the A35 to the north or to the town centre to the south.

Just over 18,600 sq m (200,219 sq ft) of warehouse and office space is available in total in Zone One, covering 11.58 acres (4.685 hectares), but this can be broken down into units ranging upwards from 2,463sq m (26,520sq ft) with a minimum eaves height of nine metres (29ft 5in).

Zone One also benefits from a secure yard which can be split, 23 dock-level loading doors, a sprinkler system, vehicle workshop and extensive car and lorry parking. In addition, there is a development site within Zone Two which is 3.65 acres (1.479 hectares), comprising open ground to the south of the main New Look facility with frontage to the Dorchester Road.

This area is currently within the Local Plan for light industrial, general industrial and warehouse and distribution uses.

Matthew Poplett of King Sturge said: "This is a unique opportunity to acquire a facility of this size and quality in a town such as Weymouth. The land in Zone Two allows for an extension to the existing warehouse facility or a new development of B1,B2 and B8 employment uses, subject to obtaining planning consent."
