KING Arthur: The players are ready for their panto, An Adventure in Camelot, which takes place on January 21, 22, 28 and 29, in the village hall.

CRICKET: The AGM of Silchester Cricket Club was held at The Plough, Little London, last Monday.
There were 17 in attendance made up of the president, four vice-presidents and 12 players.
Club captain for the 2005 season, which commences in May, will be Kevin Cathcart.
A wide variety of issues were discussed during the course of the meeting with the main concern being the lack of new, young players joining the ranks.
