EVERGREENS: The Evergreens recently enjoyed their January outing to the panto Jack and the Beanstalk at The Anvil.

Jean said: "It's the first time we've been to a panto and it went really well.

"It was great. We'll probably go again next year."

UNCALLED for: Is the only way to describe the anonymous note on the post office door.

Yes, the post office was closed on New Year's Day but plenty of notice was given.

The post office staff, Graham especially, are very helpful.

What would we do without them?

NWR: Met last night for its planning meeting for 2005. NWR enjoys theatre visits, quizzes, discussion evenings, helping at the fete, safari suppers, rambles and much more.
