BUSY Bees Playgroup: The annual report includes a very successful Ofsted inspection.

Very well done to all concerned.

If you need more information about its activities go to the website www.busybeeskingsclere.co.uk or call 297576.

The playgroup is having a fundraising bingo night on Saturday, February 5, at the Scout Hut.

There will be a pre-ordered fish and chip supper at the interval, so buy your tickets in advance by calling 297576.

CHRISTMAS lights: Alan and Caroline Hughes have asked me to thank everyone who contributed to the £105 they raised for Naomi House with their display.

This was despite their collection box (fortunately empty) going walkabout one night.

We do have people with a strange sense of humour.

LOST World: Last year, the Forest Forge Theatre Company brought the hilarious play Raising the Roof to the Village Club.

They are returning to the club on Saturday, February 5, at 7.30pm, with their new production, which is a stage version of the famous Conan Doyle story.

How they will get the jungle in remains to be seen.

Tickets are £8.50, and will include interval refreshments.

For tickets for this event, the animation workshop and the rhythm and blues evening, please call me on 297144, as Josie Norton is not yet back in the saddle.

EMBROIDERY: The course in various forms of threadwork, which I have written about before, is definitely going ahead and Josie Norton will be contacting everyone who expressed an interest.

If you have not yet registered, you should call her on 298059.

NOISE: The noise from quad bikes, racing around the old chicken farm, made last Sunday quite hideous.

This is being taken up by the parish council.

RESOLUTION: How about making this the year that you tell me about the activities of your group or organisation.
