OLD school friends who had not met for more than 50 years have been reunited, thanks to a Daily Echo appeal to bring them back together.
Pat Taulbot, 66, of Weston, Southampton, was reunited with former classmates Margaret Kesslar-Lyne and Anita Gillett, after she appealed for the Southampton women to join a reunion of former pupils of Portswood School.
Mrs Kerslar-Lime, 65, Wimbury Road, Millbrook, attended Portswood School in Somerset Road during the early 1950s.
She said: "I was overwhelmed when I saw the appeal and old school pictures in the Daily Echo. My school days were the happiest days of my life. It has been wonderful to meet old friends and get the chance to look around the school."
