Help the Aged, Hampshire, is urgently appealing for volunteers because some of its shops are undermanned.
They include the Winchester, Alresford, Chandler's Ford and Eastleigh shops.
"Just as our shops rely on people's clothing donations to operate, we also rely on people donating their time. Volunteers are crucial to the success of any charity shop and, unfortunately, we are finding it hard to recruit new people.
"It is the Year of the Volunteer and this makes it the year that you make a difference."
If you are interested in volunteering for the charity, contact the manager of your local shop or visit www.helptheaged.org.uk.
