BILLY HUNTLEY was Saints Under-16s' goal hero as they defeated West Ham at Staplewood.

The Portsmouth-born striker grabbed two goals in his side's 3-2 win with Portuguese forward Totti also on target, writes ROSS WHITE.

Huntley took just two minutes to put Saints ahead with a near post header from Joseph Mills' corner.

Totti doubled Saints' lead just before half-time with a well-placed finish after Adam Gatcombe's chip had put him clean through.

Saints looked to have sealed the game when Huntley curled home from 25 yards for his second goal in the 69th minute.

But West Ham pulled back two late goals to achieve a scoreline that belied Saints' dominance.

Under 16s coach Andy Ritchie said: "I was pleased with the boys last week when we won at Arsenal and today was another enjoyable day.

"The workrate and attitude were excellent and I was delighted with the first-half performance.

"Special mention should go to the centre backs, Jake Thomson and Gareth Bale, both playing out of position currently, for keeping things tight at the back for the first 70 minutes.

"Gareth, usually a left back, was man-of-the match today.

"And Billy Huntley has scored in every match since returning from his injury and his second goal summed up his work-rate and desire."
